About the qualification

When gaining competency in this qualification, you will be able to undertake roles in the community and/ or residential setting, caring for people following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support.

You will gain a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.

To achieve this qualification, you will be required to complete at least 120 hours of work experience in an aging, disability support or community centred workplace*. Vocational placement assistance is
provided by Sureway.

Delivery

We offer both online and distance based training activities. These will include a mixture of selfpaced training tasks and/or on the job practice/work experience, as well as individual face to face sessions
with learners. This may take the form of site visits, emails or telephone calls.

Course requirements

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To undertake study in the course you must be working in the industry and will be required to present a clear police check.
