About the qualification

When gaining competency in this qualification, you will have a range of well-developed hospitality service, sales or operational skills and sound knowledge of industry operations. Using discretion and judgement, you will be required to work with some independence and under limited supervision using plans, policies and procedures to guide your work activities.

You may gain work in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops. You may also have opportunities in specialisations in accommodation services and food and beverage.
