About the qualification

Skills and knowledge obtained through the qualification opens opportunities in roles in a range of community settings and clients’ homes, which provide training and support in a manner that empowers people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance, community participation and wellbeing.

To achieve this qualification, you must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

This qualification is delivered using a blended learning format that includes online, e-learning and hard copy materials. Recognition of Prior Leaning and Credit Transfer are available as well.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To undertake study in the course you will be required to present a clear police check along with completion of CHC33021 (Disability) or CHC33015 (Disability) or CHC30408 PLUS the CHCSS00125 entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set.

A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is mandatory for all students undertaking nationally recognised training in Australia, including courses delivered by Sureway Skills Training. If you don’t have one, we can help you apply during the enrolment process.
